Doesn't this Korean word 아우 sound more like the color blue from Japanese:青?
Both go ao but for some reason I can't seem to tell the difference between an au sound and an ao sound in Japanese since it's not my first language and today, I'm looking at sounds from Korean and comparing them to similar sounds or words I've heard in Japanese. I only look at the same pattern from words that use a combination of sounds in Korean that have existed in Japanese. If they don't exist like 아기 in Japanese but I know for sure 鍵 exists in Japanese, it's just 아기 or agi with a k added, I skipped over them. Just as the same for 다가가다 tagagada for example because those mixture of sounds together DID NOT EXIST in Japanese. From Korean to Japanese, 아우 is 弟.
