Do u know what ghetto movie im talking about?

about 5 years ao i remember watching a movie but i never found out the name of it although i know its quite famous. It was based in a black ghetto, i dont rememer any white characters. and basically there was several main characters and i remember at one point in the film a certain character had a bandage on his eye, and there was also another main character who was quite money greedy and i beleive he shot, or got shot in the head in one of the blocks in the hood near the end of the movie. it diddnt feature tupac or ice cube so there was no famous rappers in it. i definantly know the title is more than one word and for some reason i beieve the title may have the word "brother" in it, but im not completely sure. so do u know what movie it is? thanks in advance.....
